Gadan Games is a solo indie studio based in Hungary, founded by Gábor Dandár. He handles programming, design, and art, focusing on crafting tense, atmospheric horror experiences with immersive visuals and mechanics.
History
Gábor’s game development journey began around 2010, co-founding a small venture with a colleague to build casual iOS titles. After releasing three games, they pivoted away from game development to pursue other tech avenues.
In 2015, Gábor began solo development on My Last Friday, a first-person PC horror game. The initial demo release in August garnered significant traction, accumulating over 6 million views across YouTube. To match the project's ambition, he sought publisher funding while continuing development independently. Despite strong interest and industry collaboration, full backing didn't materialize, placing the project on hold in December 2017.
In 2020, Gábor returned to game creation with the release of Desolate Roads, a short first-person psychological horror vignette.
In 2025, Gábor officially resumed development on My Last Friday, releasing a complete ground-up remake of the demo.
In 2026, Gábor began development on Final Extraction - a dark incremental game with horror elements - and released a public demo on Steam in August.
